Doctors Home Care
Shelter hosts another prestigious program as DAYCARE where a fruitful gathering of isolated people on a wheelchair due to many reasons.
There are instances of totally immobile bed ridden patients fallen fatally who needs to be taken care of by the trained doctors at their residences. Our team of doctors do visit such patients twice a week and provide medicines and advice wherever felt necessary.
Paraplegia Day Care

Day care aims at bringing them to society from the four walls of the room,facilitated to mingle , enjoy and share with similar people on a particular day of the week.
Train those able ones to make soap, soap lotion, soap powder, cleaning fluids, Umbrella, Paper pen etc.
Products marketed by Pratheeksha Family and students of Student initiative in Palliative Care (SIP)
Volunteers are from different schools. We provides variety entertainment programs on the day and also introduces celebrities from different walks of life.
We arrange one day Picnic and Residential Camp for them.
The ultimate aim of daycare is to make them self sufficient thus a total rehabilitation.
OP & Medical Support
The society has a palliative care clinic run by a team of trained doctors, nurses and volunteers.
The clinic conducts OP every Thursday and about 40 to 50 patients make use of this facility. Free medicine is provided and TA/DA is also given by the clinic in deserving cases. The clinic is now functioning in own building of pratheeksha known as Pratheeksha Bhavan.
NHC: Home Care
Our Clinic is conducting Home Care everyday with the trained personnel that include Doctors, Nurses and Volunteers.
There are 575 bedridden patients suffering from Cancer, Stroke, Deceases originated after fatal accidents, Aids, Old age aliments. Apart from treating palliative patients, at times it becomes the responsibility of the Society to render aid to the dependent family members of patients for Food, Cloth, and Medicine and for education.
There are instances that the Society has procured land for the homeless, constructed houses and in certain cases toilets for patients A trained team Visit/answers calls of emergent nature of patients/old aged people left in lurch and initiate appropriate action that is deemed for their rehabilitation. Some of them might not have cleaned their body for the past many months and it used to be done by our team. There are two vehicles now being operated on every day to cater the requirements of patients in and around Thrithala Block.
Shelter: Old Age Home
The old age Home which has housed about 40 aged People by our society is known as Shelter.
The destitute left in lurch by kith and kin and even neighbourhoods are protected here. Food, medicine, clothing and their recreation are made sure by the society.
Shelter started at 50 cents of land donated by Mr. V. V. Balakrishnan and his family for 30 inmates.
Admission restricted to total destitutes with proper valued documents from the concerned authorities.
